The Recording Academy has revealed the nominations for the 2026 Grammy Awards, and Kendrick Lamar is leading the pack with nine nods.

The rapper is up for album, record, and song of the year, with his latest album GNX and its hit single “Luther” earning him spots in all three top categories. This continues Lamar’s strong run after last year, when he took home five Grammys, including record and song of the year for “Not Like Us.”

Lady Gaga is the second-most-nominated artist this year with seven, thanks to her album Mayhem and its single “Abracadabra,” which earned nominations for album, song, and record of the year. Bad Bunny and Sabrina Carpenter follow closely, each with six nominations. Bad Bunny’s album “Debí Tirar Más Fotos” received an album of the year nod, and its title track “DtMF” is up for song and record of the year. Carpenter also earned nominations in all major categories again for her album Man’s Best Friend and single “Manchild.”

The competition in record and song of the year is fierce. Alongside Lamar, Gaga, Bad Bunny, and Carpenter, nominees include Doechii’s “Anxiety,” Billie Eilish’s “WILDFLOWER,” Chappell Roan’s “The Subway,” and Rosé and Bruno Mars’ “APT.” KPop Demon Hunters also earned a song of the year nomination with their hit “Golden.”

Album of the year features a mix of pop, rap, and breakthrough artists. Justin Bieber returns to the category for the first time since 2022 with Swag, while Clipse and Tyler, the Creator are also nominated for their rap albums. Leon Thomas, who comes in with six nominations overall, is recognized for his breakthrough album MUTT and is also a contender for best new artist against Addison Rae, Sombr, Lola Young, Olivia Dean, KATSEYE, The Marias, and Alex Warren.

Notably, Warren’s breakout single “Ordinary” did not receive any nominations in the main categories, a surprising omission. Gracie Abrams also missed out on recognition for “That’s So True.”

Several artists received multiple nominations this year, including Clipse, SZA, Tyler, the Creator, and Turnstile, each with five nominations. Doechii also has five nods, as “Anxiety” earned nominations for best rap performance, best rap song, and best music video.

Producers and songwriters also earned recognition. Jack Antonoff, who produced tracks for Kendrick Lamar and Sabrina Carpenter, earned seven nominations, although he was not nominated for producer of the year.

Amy Allen, who co-wrote every song on Carpenter’s album and contributed to Rosé and Bruno Mars’ “APT,” earned four nominations and is a contender for songwriter of the year.
