Tom Cruise (63) Spotted at Saturn Awards With Elle Fanning (27) and Rhea Seehorn (53)
Tom Cruise made a rare appearance at an award show this week when he attended the 53rd Annual Saturn Awards in Los Angeles. The event took place at the Universal Hilton and celebrated the best films and television shows in science fiction, fantasy, and horror.
According to coverage from entertainment outlets reporting on the ceremony, the 63-year-old actor appeared relaxed and happy while spending time with other stars in the industry.
Cruise chose a simple but classic look for the night. He wore a navy suit with a white button-down shirt and kept the styling minimal. During the ceremony, he stepped on stage to present the Visionary Award to director Christopher McQuarrie, one of his longtime collaborators.

McQuarrie has worked closely with Cruise for years, especially on the Mission Impossible films. The director helped shape the recent chapters of the action franchise and has been a major creative partner in many of Cruise’s recent projects.
Cruise was also seen talking with several well-known filmmakers during the night. One moment that caught attention was his friendly exchange with director Guillermo del Toro, who recently directed the new Frankenstein film.
The evening also included big wins for other stars. Elle Fanning took home the award for Best Actress in a Film for her work in the 2025 science fiction movie Predator Badlands. In the film, she played two characters named Thia and Tessa.
While accepting the award, Fanning admitted she never expected to be part of the famous franchise. She told the audience, I did not think that anyone would think of me and the iconic franchise in the same sentence.
Another notable guest at the event was Rhea Seehorn. She attended the ceremony as a nominee for Best Actress in a Television Series for her role in the Apple TV+ show Pluribus. The series was created by Vince Gilligan and follows Seehorn’s character Carol Sturka as she tries to survive in a world changed by an alien virus.
Seehorn arrived wearing a sleek black leather dress and added gold star earrings to complete the look. Many other familiar faces from the entertainment industry were also present.
Actress Denise Richards attended the event wearing a bright yellow one-shoulder mini dress. She was joined by her partner and former Starship Troopers co-star Patrick Muldoon.
The ceremony also honored several legends of film and television. George Lucas received the Dr. Donald A Reed Founder’s Award, recognizing his long influence on science fiction storytelling. The Star Trek franchise was also inducted into the Saturn Hall of Fame.
Cruise’s appearance comes during an interesting moment in his career. The actor recently finished filming a new movie with director Alejandro González Iñárritu. The psychological thriller is titled Digger and is expected to be released on October 2.
The film features a strong cast that includes Jesse Plemons, Sandra Hüller, and Riz Ahmed. In the story, Cruise plays a powerful man searching for redemption after a major global disaster. Early reports say the role is more dramatic and reflective than many of the action roles he is known for.
At the same time, Cruise continues to support the movie theater industry. He recently signed a strategic partnership with Warner Bros Discovery to develop both original films and franchise projects.
The deal still allows him to continue working with Paramount on future Mission Impossible and Top Gun movies. Fans also recently saw Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning released on digital platforms.
Even after decades in Hollywood, Cruise remains deeply involved in filmmaking and continues pushing for large-scale movies to be made for theaters. His appearance at the Saturn Awards reminded fans that he is still one of the most influential figures in modern cinema.
