‘Scarpetta’ Star Nicole Kidman (59) Showed Up to Victoria’s Secret in a Tie and a Garter-Style Skirt, and the Internet Is Hot Under the Collar
Some celebrities attract attention just by taking a seat. Nicole Kidman has long been a fixture on fashion’s front rows, and she rarely arrives without turning a few heads. This week, the Oscar winner proved it again at one of the splashiest events on the fashion calendar.
The 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show moved from New York to Los Angeles, taking over Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City on Sunday, October 18. It was the first time the show had been held in L.A. in 19 years, and the front row was packed with famous faces. Jordyn Woods, Tinashe, Maria Shriver, Patrick Schwarzenegger and Victoria Monét were all in the audience, along with Dylan Sprouse and Lisa Rinna.
Yet it was Kidman’s appearance that got people talking. The ‘Practical Magic 2’ star turned up at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show with her daughter Sunday Rose Kidman Urban and took a front-row seat beside Vanessa Bryant. Her outfit, a prim shirt-and-tie combination with a lingerie twist, has been one of the most talked-about looks of the night.

Marie Claire called Kidman’s arrival the most stylish surprise of the evening. She wore a white button-down shirt, a striped suit tie and a pencil skirt with garter-style embellishments. The outlet said she skipped the Pink Carpet and headed straight into the venue.
She finished the look with an east-west burgundy croc bag by Chanel. Other outlets described the ensemble as business-forward and lingerie-inspired. The mix of boardroom and bedroom suited an event built around lingerie.
Fans noticed. After Kidman shared her look on social media, Instagram users called her a divine being, while another commenter joked about asking whether she was free on Thursday.

The night held another surprise for Kidman. As models strutted down the runway, the show played Adéla’s viral hit ‘Nicole Kidman,’ a cheeky reference to the Hollywood icon herself. Video captured by People showed her smiling and bopping along as her own name filled the room.
Adéla, the 22-year-old Slovak pop star, has previously caught Kidman’s attention. Kidman was asked about her at the ‘Practical Magic’ sequel premiere in London and responded enthusiastically. Having the song play at a major fashion event with its subject in the front row was a pop-culture moment few could have planned.
Kidman was also treated to a close-up view of Tate McRae commanding the stage in red-hot lingerie, and People reported her reacting to the performance.

Kidman’s night sat comfortably alongside her recent fashion run. She had just sat front row at Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2027 show in Paris with her 15-year-old daughter Faith. Her Los Angeles appearance showed she wasn’t done with fashion week excitement.
Sitting beside Bryant also carried an emotional note. Bryant’s 23-year-old daughter Natalia made her Victoria’s Secret runway debut in bejeweled jeans, and photos captured the 2 women chatting and cheering together. Hillary Super, Patrick Schwarzenegger and Esmé Creed-Miles were also seated in the same row.

The runway delivered plenty of its own drama. Adriana Lima, Candice Swanepoel, Gigi Hadid, Ashley Graham, Paloma Elsesser and Alex Consani all walked, while Alessandra Ambrosio marked her 20th Victoria’s Secret show and Elsa Hosk returned after an 8-year hiatus. Kylie Jenner made a surprise debut in the brand’s $50 million Fantasy Bra.
Musical performances came from Megan Thee Stallion, Tate McRae, Katseye and Megan Moroney. According to People, the brand’s chief creative officer Adam Selman had promised a bigger show than past editions, and finding a New York venue large enough for the plans pushed it to Los Angeles.
In the middle of that glitter, Kidman did what she does best. She sat still, smiled and let the room come to her. In a show full of angels, she was the guest everyone wanted to look at.
