Another GTA 6 Leak Drops Plane Footage and a Chilling Message From the Leaker

Rockstar Games has never been the type of studio to let much slip before it’s ready, but this week has thrown that reputation completely out the window. What started as a trickle of unverified images has snowballed into one of the most chaotic leak cycles the gaming industry has seen in years.

That chaos has centered entirely around “Grand Theft Auto VI,” Rockstar’s most anticipated release in over a decade, which has spent the past two days leaking in increasingly large chunks online. A leaker going by the name CYBERLEEK has been at the center of it all, releasing footage in waves that have grown more detailed and more unsettling with each new drop.

Now a fifth video has surfaced, and it may be the most alarming one yet. The new footage shows protagonist Jason flying a plane over parts of Vice City while browsing through a number of the game’s in-game radio stations, before the clip ends with a chilling personal touch from whoever captured the leak.

That personal touch involves Jason landing the plane, pulling out a rifle, and repeatedly firing into a wall to spell out the word “LEEK” using bullet holes. That deliberate act suggests the person behind these leaks isn’t simply distributing a folder of pre-recorded clips, but appears to have direct, real-time control over a playable build of the game itself.

This latest leak follows a rapid string of earlier videos from the same source. CYBERLEEK’s first release showed Jason playing basketball, driving through the fictional region of Leonida, and running into trouble with police, while subsequent clips revealed car theft mechanics, surrender animations, taser use, melee combat, and a previously unseen cutscene. A full map of Leonida also leaked separately, revealing five distinct counties along with several offshore locations.

The radio station reveal has generated plenty of excitement among longtime fans of the franchise, given how central licensed music has always been to the Grand Theft Auto experience. Among the stations shown in the plane footage was V-Rock, a name closely associated with the original ‘Vice City’ game, suggesting Rockstar may be bringing back at least some nostalgic branding for the new installment even as the full lineup remains officially unconfirmed.

Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar’s parent company, has already begun responding to the leaks with copyright takedown notices targeting the material as it spreads across social platforms. Despite that effort, mirrors and reuploads have continued appearing almost as quickly as the originals get pulled down, making full containment increasingly difficult.

This isn’t the first time unauthorized ‘GTA 6’ footage has made its way online either. A massive leak back in 2022 exposed early development footage from the game, an incident that led to a lengthy legal saga and ultimately resulted in the person responsible being sentenced to an indefinite hospital order after being found to have autism spectrum disorder that impaired their understanding of the offense.

Given how much material has already spilled out over just the past two days, from full-length gameplay clips to actual map data, this current leak cycle appears to be one of the more significant security breaches Rockstar has faced in the lead-up to a major release. Whether the studio adjusts its marketing timeline in response, or simply presses forward toward its previously stated release window, remains to be seen.

For a franchise that has built years of anticipation on carefully controlled reveals, having this much unauthorized footage circulating so close to launch marks a serious departure from Rockstar’s usual playbook.
