Black Panther vs. Spider-Man: Who Is Stronger & Who Would Win in a Fight?

Black Panther vs. Spider Man Who Is Stronger Who Would Win
Share:

Both Black Panther and Spider-Man are both capable heroes, and both of them are on the same side more often than not. Peter Parker was bitten by a radioactive spider, which resulted in him gaining arachnid physiology and a plethora of superhuman powers. Black Panther had no such experience, but after ingesting Heart-Shaped Herb, he was blessed by a panther goddess and got some superhuman attributes. Since both of them are pretty strong, we decided to analyze what would the fight between them look like. If it ever comes to Black Panther vs. Spider-Man, who is stronger, and who would win in a fight?

Spider-Man would win in a fight against Black Panther more often than not because he is stronger, faster, and more durable than him. Black Panther is smarter and better combatant, but even his technology can’t keep up with Peter’s superior spidey sense, which would likely allow him to dodge any hit before Black Panther even manages to land.

Now that we’ve covered that Spider-Man would likely win this one, it’s time to analyze why. We’re going to review the powers, abilities, strength, speed, and durability of both characters so you can see how we come to our conclusion. If you’re interested in more, stay with us and keep reading!

Powers and abilities

Black Panther was born as a regular human to a family of Wakandan monarchs with a long history of heroism. After ingesting the Heart-Shaped Herb, Black Panther was blessed by the goddess Bast with abilities akin to the ones granted to humans who ingest Super Soldier Serum. His physiology got a supernatural boost until he reached peak human levels, and all of his senses got superhumanly enhanced, up to a point where Black Panther rarely misses anything.

Black Panther also has plenty of powerful tech and resources at his disposal, as well as some secondary energy manipulation abilities, but he rarely has to rely on those alone.

Spider-Man was bitten by a radioactive spider as a teen, and his life got turned upside down, literally because he gained the wall-crawling ability. He also gained some arachnid powers and some supernatural ones, like his spidey sense, which warns him of potential danger through a tingling sensation in his skull.

Spidey sense is incredibly powerful, meaning that it allows him to avoid danger as much as possible, as fast as possible. It also gives him a range of clairvoyant-like abilities, providing him with several hundredths of a second to react and avoid harm. Peter, like Black Panther, in combat mostly relies on technology he developed himself, for example, web shooters.

Both Black Panther and Spider-Man have some level of supernatural abilities, but spider sense reigns supreme as far as powers go. The first point goes to Peter.

Strength and Stamina

Black Panther doesn’t have insane strength levels. He was never that type of superhero. He has peak human strength at best, and it’s considered that he can lift up to 800 lbs. His suits and combat skills bridge the gap and give him that extra edge to take down threats more powerful than he is.

Black Panther also has enhanced stamina. His metabolism is extremely efficient and allows him to deal with fatigue toxins in a far more efficient way than you would expect from a human being. He can fight for a few hours before he succumbs to fatigue.

Spider-Man can lift anywhere between 3 and 25 tons, meaning that he has vastly superhuman strength. This puts Peter among the physically strongest superheroes in Marvel Comics and gives him quite a punch in combat.

Due to arachnid physiology, Spider-Man also has vast amounts of stamina at his disposal. He can leap around the buildings and fight for longer than a human can at full strength without getting significantly tired.

Both Black Panther and Spider-Man are physically strong, but Spider-Man crosses into superhuman territory, and this is why the point goes to him.

Speed

Just like the rest of his physical attributes, Black Panther is faster than your average human, but not by much. It’s estimated that he can move at speeds as fast as 45 miles per hour under extreme circumstances if the situation calls for it. His combat speeds are, however, much faster than this, and he is often invisible to the naked human eyes while he fights, which is paired quite nicely with his supreme combat skills.

Black Panther movement speed

If one thing Spider-Man is famous for, it’s his wallcrawling ability, his leaping from building to building and moving at lighting-fast speeds while high in the air. Spider-Man was always among the fastest characters in Marvel Comics, not necessarily because of how fast he can run, and believe me, he can run extremely fast.

Spider man speed

Spider-Man can move at speeds up to 700 miles per hour, but as I’ve said, that’s not it. It’s his incredible reflexes, agility, and reaction times. With spider sense, Peter can react before the danger even takes place. He can dodge hits, land hits, and plenty more due to his supernatural reaction speed.

Spider-Man doesn’t need superhuman speed to be faster than Black Panther. All he needs is spidey sense. The point goes to him.

Points: Spider-Man (3:0) Black Panther

Durability

We’ve already covered the fact that Black Panther’s physiology was enhanced by Heart-Shaped Herb. This included his immune system and his metabolism. While biologically, Black Panther is nowhere near being as durable as some other powerhouses. He can heal at a faster rate than your normal human being would.

The secret to Black Panther’s survival in combat are his vibranium suits. Those are his first line of defense against devastating injuries, and they are quite reliable.

Spider-Man doesn’t need a suit to shield him from damage; his physiology provided him with a body durable enough to withstand punches from Hulk, and this is saying something. Spider-Man frequently survives falling from great heights, which would prove deadly for the majority of Marvel superheroes, and he frequently tanks unseen levels of damage, especially dealt to him by his iconic villains

He also has a healing factor and a better immune system and metabolism, meaning that he has some degree of protection against biological threats as well.

Suit or no suit, Spider-Man, on his bad day, tanks extreme forces. The point goes to Peter.

Here Is How Tall Spider-Man Is in the Movies & Comics

Intelligence

Even before T’Challa became Black Panther, he was regarded as one of the smartest characters in comics. He is a master of physics and engineering and even invented his own scientific discipline called Shadow Physics, which combines alchemy and physics and allows him to track Vibranium at a quantum level. Most of what Black Panther uses in combat has been designed by him and created in Wakanda, using their own resources, aka Vibranium, which is especially abundant in the region.

Black Panther intelligence

You would never say it based on how aloof and childish he sometimes is, but Spider-Man is quite the genius as well. Some sources claim that he has an IQ of 250, and taking into account his young age, he has quite a few accomplishments. The best example of his genius is the fact that he created much of the tech that he relies upon in his superhero efforts, like web shooters and web formulas.

He excelled throughout his formal education and, from an early age, proved himself to be an extremely capable and talented inventor. He has been acknowledged by prestigious institutions like Horizon Labs and praised by brilliant minds like Hank Pym.

This is a tough one, but based on feats alone and official stats, Black Panther is regarded as the more intelligent of the two. The point goes to T’Challa.

Points: Spider-Man (3:1) Black Panther

Combat Skills

Black Panther started his combat training while he was fairly young, almost since birth. This means that he had quite a lot of time to master a wide variety of both melee and ranged weapons from various cultures around the world. But his skills with weapons pale in comparison to his martial arts skills. T’Chall has proven over time to be able to surpass even the most skilled fighters in Marvel Comics, such as Daredevil, Captain America, Iron Fist, and the like.

Spider-Man received training from some of the best hand-to-hand fighters in the Marvel universe. He is also quite an experienced fighter, considering that he has been fighting crime for 15 years by this point. Still, Spider-Man relies on combat greatly, but it wasn’t exactly paramount for him to master it in great detail like Batman was forced to master it because, let’s face it, his combat skills and tech are the only upper hand he can gain over extremely overpowered supervillains.

Spider man combat

Both Spider-Man and Black Panther are trained fighters and rely on combat skills more often than not, but the fact that Black Panther is a superior combatant still remains.

Black Panther vs. Spider-Man: Who wins?

As you can see, it wouldn’t be an easy fight, but Spider-Man would win more often than not in a fight against Black Panther. It has everything to do with his physiology and powerset, which is, at the moment, superior to that of Black Panther. However, when it comes to combat skills alone, intelligence, and experience, T’Challa would wipe the floor with Peter.
