If there’s one thing we know about Ahsoka Tano, it’s that her growth since her first appearance in ‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars’ has been steady. That means that every version of Ahsoka was stronger than the previous one as she is set to appear in the ‘Ahsoka’ series, wherein she may be at her strongest. That means Ahsoka is now at a level that might be on par with some of the strongest Jedi we’ve seen in the Star Wars storyline.

Of course, while Ahsoka may be strong, there’s a good reason why she wasn’t the one who brought balance back to the Force, as it is clear that she isn’t the strongest Force wielder in the Star Wars galaxy. Her skills and power might be almost on par with Luke Skywalker, but we can’t say for sure that she has become strong enough to take on Sith Lords. So, with that said, let’s look at the Sith that Ahsoka can and cannot beat.

Sith that Ahsoka can beat

5. Asajj Ventress

Asajj Ventress

Asajj Ventress was not a Sith but was Count Dooku’s apprentice, as he would likely use her to betray Palpatine and allow her to become his Sith apprentice. Nevertheless, she was trained to be a Sith and was a Sith in all but her name before she defected and became a rogue Force wielder.

During the earlier part of ‘The Clone Wars,’ Anakin tried to keep Ahsoka away from Ventress in one-on-one situations because he understood he couldn’t defeat her. But as she became stronger, it became clear that the gap between her and Ventress decreased as Ahsoka could now fight her on par near the end of the Clone Wars. That means that the current Ahsoka should be stronger.

4. Savage Opress

Savage Opress was never a Sith in name, but Darth Maul made his brother his apprentice while passing himself as the true Sith master. In that regard, Opress was supposed to be his Sith apprentice as Maul was trying to find a way to supplant Palpatine.

Opress was more of a beast than a refined fighter, but he was still strong enough to defeat Jedi Masters. Nevertheless, he was not the most disciplined or the most skilled Force wielder in the galaxy. And while he may have been strong and brutish, he was too raw for skilled Jedi, such as Ahsoka Tano, during the latter part of her life.

3. Darth Shaa

shaa

Darth Shaa was an ancient Sith that lived more than a thousand years before the Skywalker Saga. It was said that she was skilled in the use of two lightsabers and was knowledgeable about the dark side of the Force. She passed on everything she knew to her apprentice, Darth Momin.

The simple reason we believe that Ahsoka can defeat Shaa is that Vader defeated her apprentice. And while we know that Ahsoka can’t defeat Vader, we still know that she was able to put up a good fight in their duel and even damage his mask.

2. Darth Momin

Darth Momin was the apprentice of Darth Shaa and was known more as an inventor than a fighter. Nevertheless, he was a powerful Sith Lord whose malice survived in his mask long after he died.

Momin returned in the Darth Vader comic book storylines as he and the modern Sith Lord fought one another. Vader was able to kill Momin once and for all by exerting effort in the fight. Of course, that means that Ahsoka may be able to defeat Momin because she also gave her former master a good fight in their duel.

1. Darth Maul

Darth Maul Clone Wars

Darth Maul was one of the most skilled lightsaber duelists of his time and was strong enough to defeat Qui-Gon Jinn, who himself was a skilled Jedi Master. But Maul’s skills never improved since his loss to Obi-Wan Kenobi in ‘The Phantom Menace’ as he stagnated.

In season 7 of ‘The Clone Wars,’ Ahsoka fought Maul and was able to defeat him with the help of the Mandalorians and the 501st Legion. Some fans believed that Maul was holding back so that she could win Ahsoka to his side and explain Sidious’ plans to her. But the ‘Rebels’ version of Ahsoka was a lot stronger than her younger self when she first fought Maul, and that means that she would have been strong enough to defeat the former Sith Lord had they fought one more time.

5. Darth Bane

Darth Bane was the man behind the Rule of Two, which is a rule that he instituted a thousand years before the events of the Skywalker Saga to preserve the secrecy of the Sith while allowing the Sith Lords to become strong enough to eventually overthrow the Jedi Order.

The fact that Darth Bane was the only Sith survivor of a war between the Jedi and the Sith is proof of his power and cunning nature. He was also able to keep himself hidden from the Jedi for decades. And that means that Bane’s cunning nature and mastery over the dark side would have been more than Ahsoka would have been able to handle.

4. Darth Plagueis

plagueis

Darth Plagueis the Wise was Darth Sidious’ master before he betrayed and killed him. Not much is known about Plagueis except for the fact that he was the one who taught everything that he knew about the dark side of the Force to Palpatine.

Of course, we’re not quite sure how strong Plagueis was in a fight, but we do know that his mastery over the dark side was on par with his apprentice because he was the one who taught Palpatine the nature of the dark side. And that means that he was likely more powerful than Ahsoka.

3. Darth Tyranus

Also known as Count Dooku, Darth Tyranus was the leader of the Separatists and was one of the strongest duelists of his time. He was often called the best lightsaber duelist back when he was still with the Jedi Order. And his powers only grew after he became a Sith Lord.

Count Dooku was so strong that he could easily handle Obi-Wan Kenobi, who was likely stronger than Ahsoka. Anakin needed to tap into the dark side of the Force to defeat Dooku. And we don’t see Ahsoka doing that in a fight against this skilled and powerful Sith Lord.

2. Darth Vader

Of course, Darth Vader is a Sith Lord that Ahsoka was never able to defeat. Known as Anakin Skywalker during his time as a Jedi, Vader’s strength and power surpassed Dooku’s own power. And while he was never able to reach the full potential of Anakin Skywalker, Vader’s unlimited anger allowed him to tap into the deepest and darkest depths of the dark side.

We saw in his duel with Ahsoka that Vader had the upper hand. There were moments wherein Ahsoka showcased how close she was to Vader’s level. But in the end, Vader was about to kill her before Ezra Bridger rescued her using the World Between Worlds.

1. Darth Sidious

deformed palpatine

Arguably the strongest Sith Lord of all time in the canon universe of Star Wars, there aren’t many Force users on his level. That means he was always a figure beyond imagination, as he had powers and skills that not even Vader could rival.

So, if none of the Sith Lords that trained under Sidious could defeat or overthrow him, that would mean that Ahsoka wouldn’t have been strong enough to defeat him as well. And that’s because Emperor Palpatine was always head and shoulders above almost everyone else in Star Wars.
