The entertainment world has spent the past day mourning the loss of one of its most familiar faces, an actress whose career spanned child stardom, teen movie fame, and years of leading roles across television and film. As news of her passing spread, tributes began pouring in from across Hollywood almost immediately.

Hayden Panettiere built a career that touched multiple generations of fans, from her breakout role in ‘Remember the Titans’ to her star turns in ‘Heroes’ and ‘Nashville.’ That range, paired with her openness about her personal struggles in recent years, made her someone many of her collaborators felt a genuine connection to beyond the screen.

Among the many tributes now circulating is one from Emma Roberts, who co-starred with Panettiere in ‘Scream 4.’ “Rest in peace my sweet friend. You are so loved and you will be forever missed,” Roberts wrote, sharing the message alongside a photo of the two actresses.

Roberts wasn’t alone in remembering her former ‘Scream 4’ co-star. David Arquette, who also appeared in the film, shared his own message of condolence, writing that he was sending his love to Panettiere and her family and describing her as “such a brave and brilliant soul.”

‘Heroes’ co-star Sendhil Ramamurthy offered one of the more extensive tributes, recalling meeting Panettiere for the first time during their final screen test for the series. He described watching her grow throughout her career, writing that he had a “burning curiosity” about who she was becoming and that he saw “this beautiful Phoenix rising from the ashes” in her.

Viola Davis, who worked with Panettiere on both ‘The Architect’ and ‘Custody,’ also shared a remembrance, calling her an “amazing talent” and describing her as an “old, wise soul with such a deep heart.” Additional tributes have come in from Rosie O’Donnell, Selma Blair, Jeremy Renner, Kelly Osbourne, Bethany Joy Lenz, and David Anders, reflecting just how widely Panettiere’s presence was felt across the industry.

Jay Shetty, who spoke with Panettiere on his podcast, “On Purpose with Jay Shetty,” just months before her death, also paid his respects online. Their conversation had taken place around the release of her memoir, “This Is Me: A Reckoning,” in which she candidly discussed her years-long struggles with addiction, postpartum depression, and the grief of losing her younger brother in 2023.

Panettiere’s father, Skip, confirmed her death in a statement, describing his daughter as “an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her — and to the millions who watched her onscreen.” He asked for privacy as the family processes what he called an “unimaginable loss.”

Panettiere is survived by her parents and her eleven-year-old daughter, Kaya, whom she shared with her ex-fiancé, retired boxer Wladimir Klitschko. As tributes continue to pour in from across the entertainment industry, they paint a picture of an actress whose warmth and openness left a lasting impression on nearly everyone who worked alongside her.
