New Set Photos From ‘Deadpool 3’ Leaked – Sabretooth & Dogpool To Be Featured in the Film
Fans around the world eagerly await for ‘Deadpool 3’ to finally drop. The excitement is even higher when you know that the movie will be Deadpool’s official introduction into the MCU – and it will also feature Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, yet another incredible fan-favorite character from Fox’s X-Men franchise.
However, due to the SAG-AFTRA strikes, we haven’t really received any news about the film – at least not in terms of set photos or character details. That all changed within the past few days, and now, there’s so much to unpack here.
Firstly, Mirror shared exclusive photos from the set of ‘Deadpool 3’ where (SPOILERS AHEAD!) the Merc with a Mouth and Wolverine battle a well-known villain from the X-Men franchise. That villain is Sabretooth, one of Wolverine’s greatest foes in the films.
In the set photos, which you can see in the Tweet below, show Deadpool and Logan in a big fight against Sabertooth, during which the villain gets decapitated, and then Deadpool carries his head around at the ‘scene of the crime.’
Now, one may wonder why Deadpool would be here, in a sequence where Sabretooth and Wolverine are fighting. While no details have been shared, it is safe to assume that our beloved Wade Wilson time-traveled and universe-hopped to a time when Wolvie and Sabretooth were in a fight.
It’s hard to keep track of Logan’s timeline, though, so it won’t be easy to determine the exact moment when this is taking place before the movie hits. That being said, more news came out recently about ‘Deadpool 3’ that provides a little bit more clarity on what exactly is going on.
An official Instagram account for Dogpool – a doggy version of Deadpool – just shared a photo where he is licking Wade Wilson’s ‘avocado face’ and says: “Looks like avocado. Tastes like dog sh*t.”
Yes, that is an actual set photo from ‘Deadpool 3’, and yes, Dogpool will appear in the movie. The character actually appears in the comics as well as a member of the Deadpool Corps.
For those who don’t know, Deadpool Corps is basically a multiversal organization or a group of Deadpool variants from different universes that teamed up after finding a way to travel between universes.
Now, we already know that ‘Deadpool 3’ will be a story of multiversal time travel, which is why it’ll officially be a part of the MCU despite Deadpool and the X-Men being a part of a completely different cinematic universe so far. The inclusion of Dogpool and the Deadpool Corps is only yet another confirmation of the multiversal storyline.
As for the movie’s overall plot, we still have no idea where the film will go, but we have a general idea about Wade Wilson becoming a multiversal traveler. We also know the TVA from ‘Loki’ will be included in the film, but it seems that Mobius won’t be present in ‘Deadpool 3’ after all. Instead, rumors suggest he’ll be replaced by another TVA agent.
