Variety posted the image on X, describing ‘Off Campus’ stars Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli posing with Paris Hilton at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards, with Getty credited for the shot. In it, Bright stands on the left in a black satin corset-style gown, and Cameli grins on the right in double denim and dark sunglasses. Hilton sits between them in shimmering silver with a sleek blunt bob.

The setting was the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 27. Hilton was in the audience area as one of the night’s presenters, having joined the lineup on the day of the show alongside Chuck D, Emma Bunton, and Orville Peck. Bright and Cameli were presenters too.

Hilton went all-in on metallics. She wore a sparkling silver cutout dress by The Blonds from the label’s fall 2025 collection, crafted from liquid-like silver metallic mesh with a plunging cowl neckline, teardrop-shaped cutouts, and an asymmetrical distressed hem. She paired it with crystal-studded opera gloves and a wide sparkling choker.

The shoes drew equal attention. She wore custom Christian Louboutin over-the-knee crystal-embellished gladiator boots from the label’s spring 2026 collection, with a slim heel of about four inches. Rolling Stone said she looked like she had arrived from outer space, and she was accompanied by her sister, Nicky Hilton Rothschild.

The look also carried a bit of nostalgia. One report said the rhinestone minidress paid tribute to the 21st birthday dress Hilton wore in 2002, right down to swapping her signature platinum hair for a blunt bob. That kind of callback is perfect for an event that thrives on throwbacks.

It also fits a clear pattern. She wore a glittering ripped silver dress to the VMAs in 2024, and in 2022 she chose a shorter silver dress covered in spikes, mirrors, and crystals. Last year, she presented alongside Nicky in a black leather minidress with flame details from The Blonds.

Their outfits contrasted with Hilton’s sparkle in the best way. Bright wore a silk corseted gown with mocha brown hair and dusty rose lipstick, while Cameli wore a denim Ferragamo look. Rolling Stone said both went for classic looks and topped them with black sunglasses.

The photo also had a friendly subtext. Fans had spent weeks speculating about the costars, from possible romance to a rumored feud, and appearing together in a happy group shot made an easy answer. Pairing them with a pop-culture legend only added to the fun.

The timing is a big deal for the show. ‘Off Campus’ reached 36 million viewers worldwide over its first 12 days of release, and the pair wrapped production on season 2 about a week before the ceremony. The second season is expected to debut in 2027.

The costars also had a moment on stage. They introduced rising pop singer Sienna Spiro’s performance, and the crowd cheered so loudly that Bright had to briefly pause. Being embraced by an event like the VMAs suggests that the show’s audience now stretches well beyond its original fan base.

Some fans have already joked about giving Hilton a cameo. One outlet even asked readers whether she should appear in the series. Whether that ever happens, the photo is a fun reminder of how quickly a streaming hit can become part of the wider pop-culture conversation.
