Blade Runner (franchise)
Blade Runner is an American cyberpunk franchise that began with Philip K. Dick’s 1968 novel *Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?* and expanded into films, comics, stage productions, and other media. Ridley Scott’s 1982 film adaptation initially struggled at the box office but later became a highly influential science fiction classic, leading to further adaptations and sequels, including *Blade Runner 2049* in 2017. The franchise is now owned across all media formats by Alcon Entertainment.
