Practical Magic (Franchise)
Practical Magic is a 1998 romantic fantasy film starring Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman as sisters Sally and Gillian Owens, who come from a family of witches. Raised by their aunts after losing their parents, the sisters learn to use magic while dealing with a family curse and a dangerous supernatural threat connected to Gillian’s abusive boyfriend. Directed by Griffin Dunne and based on Alice Hoffman’s novel, the film received mixed reviews at release but later became a cult favorite. A sequel, *Practical Magic 2*, is set to arrive in theaters on September 11, 2026.
