‘The Boys’ Final Season Explodes on Nielsen Charts in Massive Debut
Prime Video’s hit superhero series The Boys is already making big numbers with its final season.
According to Nielsen, the show debuted at No. 2 on the streaming charts during the week of April 6 after the first two episodes of Season 5 dropped. The series pulled in 899 million viewing minutes, showing that fans quickly returned for the beginning of the end.

A large part of that viewership came from the new episodes themselves, which reportedly made up 64% of the total watch time during the week. Nielsen also reported that most viewers came from the 18-49 age group, which continues to be the show’s strongest audience. The only title ahead of it on the charts was The Pitt, which earned over 1.1 billion viewing minutes during the same period.

Season 5 picks up after the dramatic ending of Season 4, where several members of The Boys were captured while Homelander tightened his grip on the country.
As the new season continues, the story focuses on the search for V-1, a powerful serum that could make Homelander nearly impossible to defeat. At the same time, characters like Starlight and Butcher are trying to stop him before things spiral even further out of control.
The final season has continued the show’s usual mix of brutal action, shocking moments, and political satire, which has helped keep fans talking online every week. Even though the main series is ending soon, the franchise itself is far from over. Spin-offs are already in development, including Vought Rising, which will bring back Soldier Boy and Stormfront for another story set inside the expanding universe.
