Alec Baldwin’s Daughter Reveals How She Handles Being a Nepo Baby
Ireland Baldwin is sharing her take on life as a “nepo baby” and advising other celebrity kids on how to handle growing up with famous parents. The 30-year-old daughter of Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger posted her thoughts on social media on February 11, outlining a set of rules she thinks everyone in her position should follow.
She started with honesty, telling her followers that admitting the advantages of having a famous name is key. “Claiming full credit for your success without acknowledging the doors your last name opened makes the whole community look really silly,” Baldwin explained.
Ireland also shared some lighter rules, including permitting yourself to cry. “If both your parents are famous, you’re allowed an unlimited number of daily crying sessions,” she joked. She even offered a funny tip for gift-giving: if you buy presents for your parents with their money, just tell people the gift came from an old residual check from a Canadian Lifetime film.
Another piece of advice focused on staying relatable. Ireland warned against bragging about experiences like VIP Disney tours, and she wrapped up her guide with a playful dating tip: “Date people whose families are devastated by a breakup because they’re secretly your parents’ biggest fans.”
Outside of giving life lessons, Ireland is living a quieter life in Gearhart, Oregon. She and her partner, Portuguese musician André Allen Anjos—known as RAC—are raising their daughter Holland, who turned two in May 2025. While Ireland isn’t modeling full-time anymore, she still appears on reality segments, including a recent spot on her father’s show, The Baldwins.
She’s also active in advocacy, frequently speaking out about animal rights and mental health. On February 12, she posted on Instagram with her rescue dog, Kurt, encouraging followers to adopt rather than buy dogs. Ireland has also been open about her experiences with anxiety and body image, promoting self-love and authenticity on her social platforms.
Creatively, Ireland and RAC run a boutique and cafe together in their small Oregon town, blending family life with business. Her social posts, humor, and advice reflect her desire to show that celebrity kids can live grounded lives while still acknowledging their privilege.
Do you think Ireland Baldwin’s “nepo baby rules” make celebrity children feel more relatable, or is the idea of a relatable nepo baby impossible? Share your thoughts in the comments.
