One of the things that we know about Star Wars is that the Padawans tend to follow in the footsteps of the master in the sense that they end up becoming just as strong or even stronger. Of course, we know that Anakin Skywalker had his own Padawan in Ahsoka Tano, who also became quite strong regarding the ways of the Force. But in a fight between Ahsoka and Anakin, who would win?

Anakin Skywalker is stronger than Ahsoka Tano and would win against her in a straight-up fight to the death. That’s because Anakin was the Chosen One and was a celebrated hero in the Clone Wars. While Ahsoka defeated Anakin in the World Between Worlds, Anakin was not trying to kill her but was teaching her a lesson.

It is important to note that the fight between Ahsoka and Anakin in the World Between Worlds was a special case because it didn’t show that Ahsoka was stronger than Anakin. We did see Darth Vader defeating Ahsoka in their duel, which reflects how Anakin would fare against his Padawan. Now, let’s look at this fight in greater detail.

Lightsaber skills

Receiving basic lightsaber training in the Jedi Temple and honing her skills as the Padawan of Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano is an expert in Form V: Shien and Djem So. She is notable for her ability to use an unconventional reverse grip and is also known for being an exceptional practitioner of the dual lightsaber fighting style called Jar’Kai. Ahsoka’s speed, nimbleness, and agility allow her to quickly overwhelm opponents in a fight and even duel General Grievous on par.

Anakin Skywalker was one of the best duelists of the Jedi Order during the Clone Wars and was probably behind only Mace Windu and Yoda in that regard. He was the master of Form V: Djem So, which allowed him to have a great combination of offense and defense.

Anakin’s superb footwork and great mobility allowed him to master this lightsaber combat form and turn it into an art that only he could perform at that level. With his skills as a saber combatant, he could fight on par with the likes of Obi-Wan Kenobi and defeat Count Dooku.

What Lightsaber Form Did Anakin Skywalker Use

Even though Ahsoka’s saber skills improved mightily, there is no doubt that Anakin is and has always been the better. Only a few names are better than Anakin regarding lightsaber duels.

Force powers

Ahsoka’s Force powers were already great when she was young, as she could tame a tiger-like creature in her homeworld when she was just a baby. On top of that, her strength in the Force improved so much that she could pull down Darth Maul’s escape shuttle using Force Pull. Ahsoka’s abilities tend to be on par with that of a Jedi Master, and she may even be stronger than the other Jedi Masters when the Jedi Order was still around.

Anakin was born the Chosen One and had the highest Midi-chlorian count in the galaxy’s history. That means that his potential in the Force was higher than any other Force wielder. As such, Anakin progressed fast as a Jedi as he was able to use powers that tend to be advanced in terms of their level. While Anakin focused more on his lightsaber training, he eventually reached a point where he was strong enough to subdue two Mortis Gods simultaneously using the reserves of the Force-rich planet Mortis.

The fact that Anakin was born the Chosen One already ends this round. Ahsoka was strong in the Force and was stronger than most Jedi Masters. But Anakin was meant to be the strongest.

Experience

Ahsoka was trained to be a child soldier ever since she first started serving as the Padawan of Anakin. She was just 14 when she was exposed to the battlefield, which means that she already had a lot of experience after fighting for three straight years during the Clone Wars.

While she wasn’t always on the frontlines during the Rebellion, Ahsoka still had her own fair share of battles until she survived the Imperial era. She continued fighting even during the New Republic era.

Anakin’s experiences started when he was just nine years old as he continued learning to be a Jedi while going on missions with Obi-Wan Kenobi. After that, he became a frontline soldier just before and during the events of the Clone Wars, as it was clear that he was one of the best fighters that the Jedi Order had because he became known as the most prominent hero of the Republic. However, he eventually fell to the dark side and became Darth Vader.

We aren’t counting Anakin’s experience as Vader here, which means that his life stopped after falling to the dark side. In that regard, Ahsoka had more experiences than he did because she continued to live and survive long after the Clone Wars and the Imperial era.

Intelligence

Thanks to her Jedi training, Ahsoka has always been quite intelligent and observant, as she knows and understands how to use her skills and training wisely. She was a capable commander during the Clone Wars as she served alongside Anakin as one of the leaders of the 501st Legion. During the reign of the Empire, she was smart enough to find different ways to elude the eyes of the Empire, all while most of the Jedi who survived Order 66 died.

Anakin Skywalker was often portrayed as very intelligent, even though his intelligence was sneaky due to how reckless he was. Nevertheless, Anakin was a superb and excellent general during the Clone Wars, even though most of his strategies were reckless and unorthodox. His many victories allowed him to become the most prominent hero among the Jedi during the Clone Wars.

When you think about it, Anakin was always intelligent, no matter how reckless he was. He always had an uncanny way of doing things, and most of his strategies worked in the most unorthodox manner.

Feats

Even though Ahsoka was never always considered the strongest character in Star Wars, she has impressed many people with her progression. By the latter period of the Clone Wars, she became strong enough to fight Grievous, Asajj Ventress, and Darth Maul on par, even though they have always been as strong or stronger than a Jedi Master. Ahsoka also fought Darth Vader on par with Malachor V before eventually getting cornered. And although Anakin was only trying to teach her a lesson, Ahsoka still defeated him in the World Between Worlds.

Anakin was already a powerful Jedi with impressive feats since he was young. During the Clone Wars, he fought the likes of Count Dooku, General Grievous, and Asajj Ventress on par. At the end of the Clone Wars, he finally defeated Dooku, who was always considered one of the strongest duelists in the history of the Jedi Order, before falling to the dark side. And on Mortis, Anakin was strong enough to subdue the Daughter and the Son despite their power in the Force.

Ahsoka’s feats are impressive when compared to other Jedi. However, the Chosen One’s feats are still more impressive than what she has accomplished.

Ahsoka vs. Anakin: Who Is Stronger & Who Would Win?

Even though the apprentice is almost always stronger than the master, the thing about Ahsoka is that she is only around at least Anakin’s level but was never able to actually become stronger than him. There’s a reason why Anakin was the Chosen One, as he was always supposed to be the strongest Force user in the galaxy’s history.

While Anakin may have failed to reach his full potential, he was still very much a powerful Jedi at the end of the Clone Wars, as the only Jedi stronger on par with him at that time were Yoda, Mace Windu, and Obi-Wan Kenobi. On the other hand, Ahsoka is at least at the level of a Jedi Master or even somewhere on par with Obi-Wan.
