Game of Thrones (Franchise)
Game of Thrones is a fantasy drama series based on George R. R. Martin’s *A Song of Ice and Fire* novels. Set in the fictional worlds of Westeros and Essos, the story follows noble families fighting for control of the Iron Throne, the rise of the exiled Daenerys Targaryen, and the Night’s Watch defending the realm from threats beyond the Wall. The series became one of HBO’s biggest global hits thanks to its large cast, political drama, and high production value, although its final season received heavy criticism from fans and critics. Running from 2011 to 2019, the show won 59 Primetime Emmy Awards and later expanded into spin-offs including House of the Dragon and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.
