Avatar: The Last Airbender (Franchise)

*Avatar: The Last Airbender* is an American multimedia franchise created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. It began with the original animated series that aired on Nickelodeon from 2005 to 2008 and is set in a fantasy world inspired by Asian cultures.

In this world, people can “bend” the four classical elements: water, earth, fire, and air, using telekinetic abilities. The only person who can control all four elements is the Avatar, whose role is to maintain balance between nations and the spirit world.

The franchise has expanded into multiple forms of media, including *The Legend of Korra*, comics, novels, video games, and live-action adaptations, with more projects planned under Avatar Studios.
