HBO Max (Streaming Service)
HBO Max is a subscription streaming service owned by Warner Bros. Discovery that launched in 2020. It offers a large library of films and TV shows from brands like HBO, Warner Bros., Cartoon Network, CNN, and others, along with original programming called Max Originals.
The service grew quickly worldwide and became one of the most popular streaming platforms, with over 130 million subscribers at its peak. After the WarnerMedia and Discovery merger, HBO Max was rebranded as “Max” in 2023, adding more Discovery content. In 2025, the company announced the service would return to the HBO Max name.
