Kamala Khan, better known as Ms. Marvel, is a fictional superhero in the Marvel Comics universe. Kamala was created by Sana Amanat, Stephen Wacker, G. Willow Wilson, Adrian Alphona, and Jamie McKelvie and debuted in Captain Marvel #14 in 2013. She is a teenage Pakistani American from New Jersey who gains shape-shifting abilities and takes on the mantle of Ms. Marvel. Kamala Khan is a relatable and popular character because of her struggles with family, faith, identity, and fitting in as a teenager, all while trying to navigate the world as a superhero. She is a devout Muslim, and her faith is important to her character. Kamala’s powers come from Terrigen Mist, a substance that grants Inhumans their abilities.
